2011 Reader's Choice Award Winners "Favorite Realtor" The Turley Team
|
"Listed and sold in 5 days should say it all, but it does not come close to telling
you how happy we are with the entire Turley Team . . . from the listing of the
property to the closing, we were always kept extremely well-informed! . . .
Knowledgeable, Educated, Hand Holding, Supportive and so much more is
what the Turley Team brings to the table."
Larry & Deborah Swims
This is only one of numerous glowing testimonials The Turleys continually receives from their satisfied customers. Pat and Muriel pride themselves on providing all clients with outstanding service which is evidenced by being honored consistently with the “Premier” Service Awards. The Turley’s recognize that this level of service requires the help of their own personal support staff consisting of a full time Client Care Manager, a full time Marketing Manager and a Buyers Specialist. “Our staff is knowledgeable, supportive and customer oriented….they are simply the best…just ask our clients!”
With over 47 years combined real estate experience, The Turleys are recognized in the Top 1% Nationally and continually rank in the Top 3 Realtors for their marketplace of Glen Ellyn and Wheaton. They are confident and knowledgeable in the entire DuPage County marketplace.
Pat Turley, Certified Residential Specialist and Broker, and his wife Muriel, represent both buyers and sellers. “Two heads are always better than one”, they say. Pat has a strong background in new home construction, as a once owner/ partner in the building of luxury homes and small to mid- size commercial properties within the community. The Turleys also have a strong background in corporate relocation; together they provide superior results and a reputation that is hard to beat. “The benefits of being in real estate are many, but at the top of the list for us, is building lasting friendships with our clients – there is no greater reward!”
“It’s not just where we conduct business, but also where we live.” Pat and Muriel are lifelong residents of the community and are proud to have helped so many local families with their real estate needs. They have raised three daughters in the area; the oldest is a PhD Assistant Professor of the Department of Pathology, Harvard University, Boston. Their middle daughter is a biology graduate of the University of Iowa and is currently a Lab II Technician/Trainer at the Community Blood Center in Kansas City, MO. Their youngest daughter is a senior, majoring in marketing, at Western Kentucky University. The Turleys’ full time real estate career is balanced with family activities. They enjoy boating, waterskiing, wakeboarding, snow skiing and cooking.

First Time Buyers >The Perfect House
Home buyers must often deal with deferred maintenance or repairs. For example, you may have found a terrific house and like many competent home buyers, you included a structural inspection contingency in your purchase agreement. What happens when you find out that your "perfect" house needs some work? Do you ask the sellers to pay for the repairs? Before you answer "yes", there are some important considerations.
Some contracts require that all of the home's systems, such as plumbing, heating, electrical and central air conditioning, be in working order. In this case, the sellers may be obligated to repair any problems with these systems. Leaky roofs, damp basements, or other structural problems may not be covered, however. If you ask the sellers to make these types of repairs, you may void the contract by doing so. The sellers might prefer to negotiate the repairs to keep from losing the sale. If there are other buyers waiting in the wings with back-up contracts, you run the risk of losing the home.
